This cat wall art is about a cat mysteriously contemplating what cats contemplate. The Artist was thinking of T.S. Eliot’s famous poem about “The Naming of Cats” while painting this. To quote the end of that poem:
“When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Deep and inscrutable singular name.” – T.S. Eliot
This artwork was an experiment in visually contrasting patterns. The Artist used variations of green and blue hues throughout this cat painting. The cat has one set of line patterns set within it while the background has a contrasting set of line patterns. This sets the cat apart from the background despite identical colors being used.
This cat wall art print is available in two sizes: You may enjoy it as a medium or large size archival paper print created with long lasting giclée art inks.
